Having just celebrated the our 25th anniversary, it is now time for Mount Pisgah Christian School to look to the future! As a thriving community, Pisgah faces the exciting challenge of supporting and meeting the needs of an ever-growing student population.
In our strategic planning process a few years ago, in which many Pisgah parents participated, a long-term list of master plan priorities for the facilities of the school was established. Over the past two years, extensive studies have been completed to determine the building requirements for our K-12 and preschool programs. We are thankful to be blessed by the generosity of a Pisgah family who funded this work. In evaluating and determining our current and future needs, the Board of Trustees has approved a master plan that would include a series of future enhancements to the campuses, as illustrated below:

Of course, after completing the planning, the school’s leadership will turn its attention toward the implementation phase. This will include the appropriate work with our local community leaders and also gaining commitment for capital funding required for execution of the plans. Another aspect of the school’s strategic plan is debt reduction, so any construction plans will be contingent upon having raised the funds necessary to complete and operate the building. We are appreciative of the generous and broad financial support of our parent body, along with the support that has been expressed for campus expansion. Obviously, plans of this scale are long term in nature; as is their benefit to the many students and families we serve—both now and in the years to come. A capital campaign will be introduced in the near future to seek the funding required to fulfill these dreams. We look forward to sharing more details with you in the months ahead.
The campus master plan addresses the needs on both the South Campus (Lower School and Preschool) and the East Campus (Middle School and Upper School). These plans include:
Phase 1
East Campus: Upper School building to include Cafeteria and Media Center (Middle School classrooms will move to the current Upper School H-Building. The two modular E & F buildings will be removed)
Later Phases (Sequence TBD)
South Campus
- Lower School building to replace the two story modular building D
- Gymnasium to be located where current D building is located
- Restructure parking lot to accommodate new building location and improved traffic flow
East Campus
- Fine Arts/Administration Building
- Middle School Gymnasium Building
- Curriculum Enhancement Building on existing field
The current Special Use Permit approved by Fulton County in 1998 limits the two building capacity of our campuses; therefore an application has been presented to the City of Johns Creek to amend the school’s permit to allow an additional 135,617 gross square feet of space. Much as we did during the zoning process for the PAC, we have begun to communicate and hold meetings with residents in surrounding neighborhoods. If all goes well, the Planning Commission and Johns Creek City Council will vote on this application in June.
Please join us in asking for God’s blessing on our plans and efforts. We look forward to providing more information in the near future, including how you can support these plans.
With Great Expectations,
Board of Trustees, Mount Pisgah Christian School
John Marshall, Head of School
