Impact
Pisgah’s message of One God, One Family, One Choice is not just a phrase on a banner, it is an ethic to actively pursue. At Pisgah we want to create a welcoming community that brings and keeps families together in a Christian environment that nurtures the students’ development, and teaches students to pursue an intelligent faith in Christ all within the context of an outstanding college preparatory education. In order to achieve this, Pisgah’s academic programs can not be ordinary. We must be responsive to a more diverse student body and teach the way kids learn. The IMPACT program is a direct response to this need.
What is IMPACT? IMPACT is Pisgah’s adaptive academic program that offers a wide array of learning experiences and services that share a common goal: help students take it to the next level. Unlike many other school-based academic centers, IMPACT is not just for students with learning differences, but also includes comprehensive programs and services for ALL students who want to achieve and experience greater success.
Dr. Bryan Smyth, the Director of IMPACT, has a passion for helping students reach their potential and believes that all people have the capacity to improve their learning practices. Some students require specialized support to reach their potential, while others need greater opportunity to explore their gifts. IMPACT programs maintain Pisgah’s high standards while challenging students and providing needed support. The services that IMPACT currently offers can be arranged into the IMPACT acronym.
