Spiritual Retreat

SharpTop

Early in September, the exhilaration of the annual Sharptop Retreat for Middle and Upper School students is the talk of the community. The three day mountain retreat reunites the Pisgah family in a powerful celebration of God, family, and fun.

All Middle and Upper School teachers chaperone the retreat ensuring that every child is known by Pisgah faculty. Even Pisgah parents take time out of their busy schedules to work at the camp. Volunteers sign up months in advance to work at the retreat.

Lives are changed and increible memories are made each year at SharpTop.

"I already have a pretty strong relationship with God, but the retreat allowed me to really spend even more time with Him. It is an amazing place!” Alex Hilton, 12th Grader

“I grew closer to God because of chapel time. Being on top of the mountain made us feel physically closer to God…you could almost touch the stars!” Mia Celani, 6th Grader

Pisgah Spotlight

Faith Journey

They meet each week. Not to discuss the latest and greatest computer game or music video. These guys are praying and talking about Jesus. Their story started last fall in the north Georgia mountains at Pisgah's annual spiritual retreat at Sharp Top.As Graham Peters and his cabin mates studied the Bible and explored their faith at the annual retreat, a spark was ignited, a desire to dig deeper.  They decided, oncethey returned home, they would meet early one morning each week before school to pray, support each other, and discuss spiritual and biblical topics. “It was just cool at the Sharp Top, how we could talk about our faith – really get into some deep stuff - and we just didn’t want it all to end. It’s great to have friends you can talk to like this group of guys,” explains Graham. “That’s one thing I like best about this school.”
