Service

Pisgah is committed to its community.

Pisgah students experience the joy of Christian service beginning in Early School as each class chooses a service project as its focus for the year. Christian service continues in Lower School as students participate in school-wide service projects such as the North Fulton Charities food drive and Operation Christmas Child.

On the Prep Campus, encompassing Middle and Upper Schools, students actively engage their understanding that they are important members of the body of Christ. Students participate in an annual Day of Service working with 13 different organizations to demonstrate how heart and hard work can make a big difference. Pojects have included recording Bible books on tape for Beacon of Hope, creating Knots of Love blankets and sorting clothes for Foster Care, cleaning up trash in Newtown Park, creating original artwork for local assisted living homes and hospitals, preparing toiletry care packages for the homeless, and comfort care packages for children in the care of police and fire personnel. Upper School students serve as hands-on helpers in the annual Habitat for Humanity High School build and have helped to construct a house right on Pisgah property.

Community Service is not limited to planned projects. Students demonstrated their faith through community service by:

  • Raising more than $30,000 and sending three mobile storage pods full of supplies to Hurricane Katrina victims. Less than eight weeks later, Pisgah students raised an additional $15,000 for Tsunami victims.
  • Sending more than 1,000 pairs of shoes in a three day time span for children in developing countries.
  • Giving more than $30,000 in pennies for Leukemia patients, the ighest in the state of more than 600 participating independent and public schools.

In North America, more than 350 million cartridges are thrown out each year and can take as long as 450 years to decompose in a landfill.  Don’t throw away your empty printer cartridges!  Recycle them and help raise money for Pisgah's Upper School Habitat for Humanity Club! Upper School students are collecting cartridges. (Students, bring cartridges to Room H203). Thank you for your support!
