Pisgah is pleased to announce that Douglas Byrd is the new leader of the Patriot boys' basketball program. Byrd takes the helm of the basketball program throughout the Prep School (grades 6-12), as well as the community recreation league: Pisgah Sports. Douglas comes to Pisgah from one of Georgia's top 1A high school basketball programs, Whitefield Academy where Byrd was a varsity assistant (in season), head coach of the varsity team (fall & summer leagues), as well as the middle school head coach. He has in-depth knowledge of local and regional basketball, including middle/upper school and college ages. His record at Whitefield is outstanding and his coaching background is filled with championship success at middle and upper school levels. See local news story.
