Pisgah Boy's 10th - Girl's 12th at GHSA Championships

Both Pisgah golf teams competed in the GHSA championships on Monday with the boys finishing in 10th place and the girls in 12th. The boys competition was close with the Patriots shooting 326 as a team, only ten shots out of fifth place. Andres Saez led Pisgah with a 78. Scott Hoffman was close behind with a 79. Mitchell Phillips' 84 and Evan Piedrahita's 85 also factored into the team total. Jay Tyson (87) and Jeseub Yoon (90) competed as well.

The Lady Patriots shot a 219 to finish in 12th place. Georgia Sims shot a 107 and Sarah Austin a 112 for the teams total. Marie Keeter (114) and Katherine Wilkison (133) were also on the course for Pisgah.

Pisgah's boy's team qualified for the state tournament by winning Region 5-A. In only their second year of existence the girl's finished second in the Region, qualifying for their first ever state tournament.

Lady Patriots Finish Second at Region - Qualify for State

The varsity girls team finished second in the Region tournament and also qualified for the state meet. The Lady Patriots shot a 227, which tied them with Pace. Georgia Sims and Katherine Wilkison won a one-hole playoff to clinch the No. 2 seed.

Marie Keeter and Sarah Austin also shot solid rounds for Pisgah.

Girls Golf Wins Galloway Tournament

The Pisgah varsity girls golf team won the Elliot Galloway Golf Tournament this week. The Lady Patriots scored a 101, to defeat Walker (108) and Galloway (113). Georgia Sims finished second overall for the girls. Marie Keeter and Avery White also participated for Pisgah.

Girls Golf Opens With Win Over Wesleyan

The Pisgah girls varsity golf team opened thier season on Thursday with a 84-94 win over Wesleyan. Georgia Sims led the Lady Patriots, carding a 36 over seven holes. Marie Keeter and Katherine Wilkinson both shot a 48.

The JV team lost to Wesleyan 74-70. Lawson Bishop and Lauren Thompson both shot 37 (thru five holes).

2011

In their first year of competition the varsity girl’s golf team finished fourth in the Region 5-A tournament. The Lady Patriots were led by Marie Keeter, who carded a 126 for her round. Other Patriots competing that day included Katherine Wilkison (134), Avery White (154) and Macy Williams (160).

This was the first season for the varsity girl’s golf program. The members of the inaugural girl’s varsity golf team are: Devan Bater; Lawson Bishop; Marie Keeter; Katelyn Smalley; Lauren Thompson; Avery White; Katherine Wilkison; Macy Williams; Amanda Witmond.
