Lower School

Kindergarten – Fifth Grade

  • Students experience curricular instruction in Visual Arts and General Music

  • Extracurricular offerings for this age group have included Drama, Puppetry, and Visual Arts

Fourth and Fifth Grades

  • Students experience curricular instruction in Visual Arts and General Music

  • Students receive opportunity to begin Band or Strings based on interest

  • Extracurricular offerings for this age group have included Visual Arts, Hand Bells, Chorus, and Strings

 

Middle School

Sixth grade

  • Students experience curricular instruction in Visual Arts (Ancient Cultures), General Music

  • (Classical Music, Keyboard Lab), and Beginning Drama

  • Students receive opportunity to participate in Beginning Band/Advanced Band (based on

  • proficiency), Strings or Chorus

  • Co-curricular events in Band and Chorus include concerts and State level evaluations

  • Extracurricular offerings include Junior Thespians and audition based Drama productions, Drum Line and Jazz Band.

Seventh Grade

  • Students experience curricular instruction in Visual Arts (European), General Music (Rhythms Around the World, Keyboard Lab), and Intermediate Drama

  • Students receive opportunity to participate in the Talent Improvement Program, which includes Beginning Band/Advanced Band (based on proficiency), Strings, Chorus, or Theatre Arts Production classes

  • Co-curricular events in Band and Chorus include concerts and State level evaluations

  • Extracurricular offerings include Junior Thespians and audition based Drama productions, Drum Line and Jazz Band.

Eighth Grade

  • Students experience curricular instruction in Visual Arts (American), General Music (American Music, Keyboard Lab), and Advanced Drama

  • Students receive opportunity to participate in the Talent Improvement Program, which includes Advanced Band, Strings, Chorus, or Theatre Arts Production classes based on interest

Upper School

Ninth - Twelfth Grades

  • Visual Arts courses offered include Design Fundamentals, Drawing I & II, Painting I & II, Digital

  • Photography, Art History, Advanced Studio, and AP Studio Art

  • Band is offered as an Instrumental course

  • Chorus is offered as a Vocal Music course

  • Co-curricular events in Band and Chorus include concerts and State level evaluations

  • Theatre Arts courses offered include Introduction to Theatre, Advanced Acting, and Intro to Speech and Debate

  • A variety of Minimester courses are offered two times per school year, and will vary at the instructor’s discretion; current examples include Baroque Painting, Choral Music Symposium, and Performing Arts Seminar

  • Extracurricular offerings include Drum line, Thespian Festival, National Art Honor Society, audition based Drama productions/musicals and Jazz Band.
